Last Updated: November 1, 2025
Introduction
This privacy policy describes how Athly ("the App", "we", "our") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Data Collection
Athly does not collect any personal data.
The App does not:
- Collect personal information such as name, email, phone number, or address
- Track your location
- Access your contacts, photos, or other personal files
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Require user accounts or authentication
Data Storage
All data you enter into Athly is stored locally on your device only using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Event information (name, date, location, distance, sport type)
- Race results and performance data
- Any notes or custom fields you create
Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
Data Export
Athly allows you to export your data in JSON format through the app's settings. When you use this feature:
- You control where the exported file is saved (using the system file picker)
- The export is performed entirely on your device
- No data is transmitted to any servers or third parties
- You decide what to do with the exported file
Third-Party Services
Athly does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external servers.
Children's Privacy
Athly does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since we don't collect any data at all, the App can be safely used by users of all ages.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy in future versions of the App, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework, the security of your data is protected by:
- Your device's passcode or biometric authentication
- iOS's built-in security features and sandboxing
- Encrypted backups (if you use iCloud or encrypted iTunes backups)
We recommend:
- Keeping your device updated with the latest iOS version
- Using a strong passcode or biometric authentication
- Enabling device encryption (enabled by default on modern iOS devices)
Your Rights
Since Athly stores all data locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Access: You can view all your data within the App
- Modification: You can edit or update any information at any time
- Deletion: You can delete individual events or all data through the app settings
- Export: You can export all your data at any time
